อาร์ตกอริลล่าส์ อาร์ตแกลเลอรี่ภูมิใจเสนอนิทรรศการศิลปะ Double O Seth “Goldscissors” นิทรรศการเดี่ยวโดย เศรษฐพงศ์ โพวาทอง ศิลปินคอลลาจมือวางอันดับต้นๆ ของประเทศ  โดยงานที่นำมาจัดแสดงในครั้งนี้เป็นผลงานใหม่ที่ไม่เคยแสดงที่ไหนมาก่อนหลายสิบชิ้น

เศรษฐพงศ์ โพวาทอง ศิษย์เก่าครุอาร์ท จุฬาฯ, Central St. Martins และ Chelsea College of Art & Design คือนักคอลลาจตัวจริงผู้มีพื้นฐานมาจากงานออก แบบภาพประกอบ และนิตยสาร แม้ว่า 12 ปีที่ผ่านมา เขาจะทำงานบรรณาธิการนิตยสารเป็นอาชีพหลักก็ตาม (Katch, Mono, ARENA, FHM) แต่ก็ยังใช้เวลาว่างสร้างงานคอลลาจออกมาอย่างสม่ำเสมอ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งตั้งแต่ปี 2002 เป็นต้นมา

Perfect Dreams ผลงานรวมเล่มของเขาซึ่งจัดพิมพ์โดยสำนักพิมพ์ a book เมื่อปี 2005 ได้ถูกนิตยสาร Dazed & Confused Japan เลือกให้เป็น 1 ใน 100 Inspiration Artist Books จากรอบ 40 ปี (1968-2008) อีกด้วย

เขาชื่นชอบงาน Pop art หลงใหลในเสน่ห์ของความ kitsch และสไตล์ของภาพเขียนเก่า นั่นคือที่มาของการนำภาพจากหลากยุคสมัยต่างสไตล์มาผสมผสานกันเป็นเรื่องราวใหม่ ในงานคอลลาจที่ดูสนุกสนานตื่นเต้น สอดแทรกอารมณ์ขันแบบตลกร้ายและการเสียดสีอยู่ในภาพสีสันสดใส มากด้วยรายละเอียดอันประณีตงดงามซับซ้อน ปกคลุมด้วยความรู้สึกเหมือนจริงจากการใช้ภาพต่างๆจากหลากหลายยุคสมัยให้มาอยู่ร่วมกันได้จนแทบแยกไม่ออกระหว่างภาพแห่งความจริงกับความฝัน

เขาเคยแสดงผลงานคอลลาจมาแล้วเรียนหน้านี้ 3 ครั้ง นิทรรศการกลุ่ม: From College to Collage (ต.ค. 2008 หอศิลป์ กทม.), From Happy College to Monday Collage (พ.ค.-ส.ค. 2009 Happy Monday Pub & Restaurant) และนิทรรศการเดี่ยว: Collage Commando (ต.ค.2009 หอศิลป์ กทม.)

นิทรรศการครั้งใหม่ Double O Seth “Goldscissors” ที่อาร์ตกอริลล่าส์ อาร์ตแกลเลอรี่นี้คือการรวบรวมผลงานคอลลาจใหม่ๆ ซึ่งไม่เคยแสดงที่ใดมาก่อนหลายสิบชิ้นมาให้ชม คนรักงาน Pop Art หรืออยากชมคอลลาจมันส์ๆ โดยศิลปินคอลลาจมือวางมือดีผู้นี้ไม่ควรพลาด!

ArtGorillas ArtGallery is pleased to present Double O Seth “Goldscissors”, a solo show of selected new collection of work by Sethapong Povatong, who is highly regarded as one of Thailand's top collage artists.

The artist's passion in Pop Art & Kitsch portrayed in his work by using selected pictures from different time, context, and style mixed into collages that are vividly comical to perceive in sarcastic and surrealistic ways.

After graduated from Chulalongkorn Univeristy, Central St. Martin, and Chelsea College of Art & Design, respectively, the he had involved in various design and illustration projects. He has also been working as the editor for several leading local magazines, such as Katch, Mono, Arena, and FHM, and at the same time, working on his personal art project since 2002.

Perfect Dreams, his first art book, published by a book publishing company back in 2005, was selected by Dazed & Confused Japan to be 1 of the 100 inspiration Artist Books in 40 years (1968-2008)

His past exhibitions includes "From College to Collage", a group show at BACC, October 2008, "From Happy College to Monday Collage", a group show at Happy Monday Pub & Restaurant, May - August 2009, and "Collage Commando", the latest solo show at BACC, October 2009.
